8:34PM - Love Lives On
Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on
And cherished memories never fad
Because a loved one's gone...
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
for as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.

This lovely couple is Jon Jon & Shelby Ward. Don and I took the photos for their wedding May 01. It was a lovely ceremony. Shelby worked for me for almost a year. Jon's mom is Sheri, who also worked for me up until her stroke March 1st. Sheri's doing fine in her recovery. :)
Congrats to Jon and Shelby!

update on the accident- it was two semis that slammed into four stopped cars. Two serious, one fatality.
An abusive partner will railroad discussions, so that you don't have time to think about what's right and what's wrong in their behavior.
Take a moment to consider these questions. Your partner might have behaved as though these things were okay, even though it's obvious that they aren't okay...:
Do you feel that you can't discuss with your partner what is bothering you? *SOMETIMES*
Does your partner frequently criticize you, humiliate you, or undermine your self-esteem? *YES*
Does your partner ridicule you for expressing yourself? *YES*
Does your partner isolate you from friends, FAMILY or groups? *YES-told you to be back to take him to an interview that he ended up getting a ride from Hiro, but didn't call your cell to tell you- so you went home for nothing.*
Does your partner limit your access to work, money or material resources? *YES- Tells you how to spend your money, takes you to and from work, shows up for lunches unplanned*
Has your partner ever stolen from you? Or run up debts for you to handle? *VASH*
Does your relationship swing back and forth between a lot of emotional distance and being very close? *HELL YES!*
Have you ever felt obligated to have sex, just to avoid an argument about it? *YES*
Do you sometimes feel trapped in the relationship? *YES*
Has your partner ever thrown away your belongings, destroyed objects or threatened pets? *YES- YOU*
Are you afraid of your partner? *you may not be for yourself, but I am for you.*
PLEASE GET HIM TO GET HELP.

5:08PM - Unanswered Prayers
Just the other night a hometown football game
My wife and I ran into my old high school flame
And as I introduced them the past came back to me
And I couldnt help but think of the way things used to be.
She was the one that Id wanted for all times
And each night Id spend prayin that God would make her mine
And if hed only grant me this wish I wished back then
Id never ask for anything again.
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when youre talkin to the man upstairs
That just because he doesnt answer doesnt mean he dont care
Some of gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.
She wasnt quite the angel that I remembered in my dreams
And I could tell that time had changed me
Inn her eyes too it seemed
We tried to talk about the old days
There wasnt much we could recall
I guess the lord knows what hes doin after all.
And as she walked away and I looked at my wife
And then and there I thanked the good lord
For the gifts in my life.

The dog thinks somethings up...she's underfoot and just being a complete baby. :(
It's either the two suitcases and two garment bags on the table that were packed yesterday or the rain for the past 18 hours.
I did my nails (Broadway Nails, real life, short petites) so pretty :)
I did dishes and folded laundry and put that away yesterday. Today I need to clean up the house, making sure everything is in it's place so we come home to a nice home that we can just collapse in. So that involves putting dishes away, cleaning and putting away the ones I have used since. picking up my stacks of notebooks.
Just had an ADD moment and took off to get his passport, my debit card and license, and find my wallet. Searched the closet- only to come back and find I put it on my desk already!
Need a Mt Dew before I try to do anything else.
You all have a great time w/o me. Don't miss me too much okay? I'll have my laptop, and wireless is supposed to be accessible the entire trip, but I don't know if I'll use it that much. Depends on the speed of it I guess when I upload photos.
Catch you later!

this morning I tried to go on 352 thru oxford but the fire department had the road blocked... I call Don to tell him (this was at 615am) I said it was probably a bank robbery, he said his restuarant was on fire (there's an old building sometime back was turned into a coffee shop...)
anyway- JConline had this tonight
Police investigate Oxford bank burglary
OXFORD - Police are searching for a man who broke into a bank in this southern Benton County town overnight.
Though he got inside the bank, he didn't get away with any money.
Benton County Sheriff Butch Pritchett said the Alliance Bank in downtown Oxford was broken into sometime between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. today.
"Entry was gained by breaking a rear window of the bank," Pritchett said.
But as the suspect was leaving the bank through a back door, he tripped the bank's alarm, Pritchett said. This apparently startled him, causing him to drop a bag containing small amounts of cash.
Authorities were able to account for all the bank's money.
Witnesses sitting in a nearby back yard around the time saw someone they described as a white male with a slender build wearing either a white T-shirt or a gray hooded sweatshirt running south down an alley behind the bank, Pritchett said.
A Monticello Police canine unit tracked the suspect to a nearby house, Pritchett said. Police had the house under surveillance this morning and were waiting on a search warrant to get inside, Pritchett said.
ha! I won!

Erman Fawbush. born May 08 1900 in Washington County, Indiana to Rilla Gross (unmarried at time of 1900 census when Erman was three months old). She lived with her dad Joseph Gross and her younger siblings. Her mother had passed at this time.
In 1910, Rilla married Arthur "Art" Harper and moved to this nice home of two bedrooms and maybe a bathroom.
Erman is listed as Arthur's step-son, and he and Rilla have been married 4 years. However, this census taker writes that she had 0 children, when in 1900 she had given birth to one, and it was living...
On Sept 12 1918, the World War I draft registration card C, Erman Fawbush is a farm hand for his step-dad Art Harper. His nearest kin is his mother Rilla Harper. He's tall and slender, blue eyes, and brown hair.
Art's card has him as medium height and a stout build, with grey eyes and brown hair.
In 1920 Art, Rilla, and Erman all three live here still. Erman's in school at the age of 19.
In 1930 it's just Art and Rilla.
edit: Erman is in Lafayette on Kossuth street w/ his wife Hallie and daughter Margine, age 4.
I can't locate his WW2 draft card though.
I did manage to find a family tree website that had his death date as 1969, his wife as Hallie McDaniel, and daughter Margene R. Fawbush. She married Robert Fuller on 02 Feb 1947) , and they had two children Craig (b 1950) and Bruce (b 1952). From there, I found that Erman and Hallie Fawbush are buried right down the road in Boswell Cemetery. Erman passed in 1963 and Hallie passed in 1993. They're buried side by side in lot 25, block 4, grave 4 & 5.
I sent an email to the person of the Family Tree website, but that email came back today that the email no longer exists. :(
I posted this journal to Public, incase someone does a search for this gentleman or his family. He's a wonderful photo and a terrific conversation piece.

okay- now that's fucked up....
I'm reading about haunted places in Indiana- and somebody stops by looking for their black lab w/ a red collar that's lost (theirs is male and named SAM)
So I go back to reading the website on haunted places, and the tv comes on in the living room... (I'm alone w/ Ally as Don's at an FOP meeting.)
It's just enough to go- WHAT?
but it's the timer on the satellite now that I look at the time, Holmes on Homes is on.... :)

Got the pictures back from Walmart for Maddie's b-day gig. 55 printouts. I bought Hello Kitty scrapbooking stuff and some stickers. I'm going to sit down in a bit and work on that as a belated gift to Jenn and Chris. :D
Today at work the Hasbro rep asked me if I was pregnant! So I instantly think- damn, I know I've gained some weight- but that much?- so of course, I'm sitting here typing and munching on Jays BBQ chips... yeah- wonder where I gained a pouch from?
Oh, I'm drinking a Diet Coke to go with this! hahaha
This is stuff left over- gotta eat it right?

what does it take for me to sleep longer than five hours a night? Is it the full moon being on the same cycle as my period this week? What? Monday and Tuesday night- slept 11-2 and then 4-530. Too hot. Wednesday Don puts in the AC- same time frame- too cold. Last night- went to Manda's... slept 15 minutes going there, and an hour coming home. got to bed at 130am... finally fell asleep about 230- woke up at 630 wide awake! So at least I have a jump on laundry and checking email :D
My glasses are in- so get to pick those up this afternoon on our way North. :D Jenn and Chris couldn't house-sit for us...long story there, but his brother's graduating tonight and his g'parents are coming from TN whom he hasn't seen in years- and she forgot it was the same weekend as the wedding... so we're taking Ally with us and she'll be crated :( at Manda's, and hopefully we can put enough food out in various places so Mir doesn't starve (we still have visitors finding his food and getting into the totes of both foods.)
